Your badge kit

The Harbour Teapot: Lovely Award Winner 2027, Best Café, Conwy

Free, forever. Copy, paste, done. It shows a green tick on example.com and links to your verified listing.

This is the badge kit for a sample listing, so you can see how it works. Real businesses get their own kit when they're named a finalist or winner.

1 Choose a style

All three are live: they check your status every time they load, and switch off on their own if it ever lapses. Here they show as a preview; on example.com they show the green tick.

Seal

The full rosette seal. Best on your homepage, About page or in a sidebar.

Compact

A small seal with a line of text, for footers and contact pages.

Mini

A slim pill. Fits next to payment icons or in a header.

2 Add it to your website

Pick your platform. Most people put the badge in their footer so it's on every page.

WordPress
  1. In a page or post: edit the page, click +, add a Custom HTML block and paste the code.
  2. In your footer, on every page: go to Appearance, Widgets (or Appearance, Editor, Patterns, Footer on block themes), add a Custom HTML block and paste.
  3. Using Elementor or Divi: drag in the HTML or Code module and paste.
  4. Save, then view your live site. You should see the badge with a green tick.
Wix
  1. In the Wix editor, click Add Elements, then Embed Code, then Embed HTML.
  2. Choose Code, paste the badge code and click Update.
  3. Drag the box into your footer and resize it to fit the badge. Right-click and choose Show on all pages if you want it everywhere.
  4. Publish. Wix shows embeds in a frame, so if the tick doesn't appear, use the image version below instead.
Squarespace
  1. Edit the page or footer, click Add block and choose Code.
  2. Paste the badge code, make sure the mode is set to HTML, and save.
  3. Some Squarespace plans don't run scripts in Code blocks. If you only see a text link, use the image version below.
Shopify
  1. Go to Online Store, Themes and click Customize.
  2. In the footer group, click Add section (or Add block) and choose Custom Liquid.
  3. Paste the badge code and save.
Anything else
  1. Paste the code anywhere in your page's HTML, usually in the footer, the sidebar or your About page.
  2. Send the code to whoever looks after your website and point them to this page. It takes them two minutes.
  3. The script is tiny, loads after your page, sets no cookies and doesn't track your visitors. We only count how many times the badge loads.

No scripts allowed? Use the image version

A plain image that links to your listing. It works anywhere you can add HTML, but it won't add the award details for Google and AI assistants, so use the live badge if you can.

Why it helps you

Customers can check it

Anyone can click the badge and see what we verified and when. A badge that proves itself is worth far more than a logo anyone could copy.

Google and AI assistants see it

On your own website, the live badge adds your award to your page in the format search engines and AI assistants read, so they know you're recognised.

It can't be faked

The tick only appears on example.com. Copied onto another site, it shows as not verified. That protects you and your award.

Your listing links back to you

Your verified listing links to your website whether or not you show the badge. Nothing to buy, nothing to swap.

A few simple rules

  • Use the code as it is. Please don't edit the badge or make your own version.
  • Only describe the award you won, for the year you won it.
  • Once your status ends, the badge switches off by itself. You don't need to do anything.
  • Questions or something wrong? Email [email protected].
